Computer Engineering BS Minor Program

 

MINOR: Computer Engineering (total credits 26 or 27)

Prerequisites: (8 credits) all may be transferred

* MATH 191, Calculus I
* MATH 192, Calculus II

Lower Division (16 credits) all may be transferred

* E E 161, Computer Aided Problem Solving
* E E 162, Digital Circuit Design I
* E E 260, Embedded Systems or C S 273, Machine Programming & Organization
* E E 271, Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming

Upper Division (10 or 11 credits) no transfer credit accepted

* C S 371, Software Development
* C S 473, Architectural Concepts or E E 363, Computer Architecture
* C S 484, Computer Networks I or E E 469, Digital Communications Networks

 

A grade of 'C', or better, is required on all courses for the minor

 

Students usually follow the catalog which was in effect when they first attended NMSU. However, students may choose to switch to another catalog as long as that catalog in no more than six years old at the time of graduation.
