ECE Ambassadors

The College of Engineering Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for students in each of the departments to interact with visitors, industry, and other groups at NMSU as representatives of the College and the individual departments to the public.  The ECE Ambassadors for the 2008-2009 academic year are Travis Burkhard, Dan Harberts, and Luis E. Medina.

About the Ambassadors:

Hello, my name is Travis Burkhard. I am a Senior in Electrical Engineering at NMSU. This will be my third year as an Engineering Ambassador. I graduated High School from Eldorado HS in Albuquerque, NM, class of 2005. As an E.E., I am looking to specialize in Communications, and then peruse my Masters at NMSU in Digital Signal Processing.  I am a proud member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity (Nu-Epsilon chapter) and during my free time I enjoy rock climbing, cycling, hiking, and playing soccer.  I have over a year and a half of co-op and internship experiences among other work as an intramural sports referee and with our Student Government. I am also an ambassador for the Honors College at NMSU.       Choosing a University and a Major can be a difficult and stressful decision, so feel free to ask me anything about NMSU, Engineering, Honors, or any other questions you might have.  If I don't know, I'll find out for ya!   -Travis B   burkhard@nmsu.edu
